South West Coast Path Dec 2020

I was lucky to complete the SW coast path (630 Miles) on Christmas Eve at South Haven Point, Supported by my lovely wife and my 3 boys. I started the coast path at Minehead in August 2017. I was determined to make the journey ‘my coast path’ deciding to walk, sea kayak and cycle (where the coast path follows roads and through towns etc) where I could. It was an awesome achievement with over 300 miles done since April 2020. We had a ‘family holiday’ in the summer. The wife was suspicious when all the campsites were next to the coast path and we moved every 3 days. Some would say there was a secret schedule ! My boys Leo, Harry and Lewis aged 2,7,11 would accompany me on sections sometimes doing up to 12 miles, fuelled by the promise of fish and chips. The best sections were the ones close to my home in North Devon, I discovered little gems of walks and views over the Tors of illfracombe and Hangsman hill, Combe Martin. The journey was only made possible with thanks to my wife, Keeley doing shuttles, pick ups and looking after the boys while I just did another 10 miles !
